Anomaly comes from the Greek and means "irregularity". Self-learning methods allow systems to automatically detect deviations. This is done by unusually strong vibrations, slowed spindle speed or noticeable noises from machines.
There are two ways to detect anomalies. One variant runs through finished products, here the quality standards of the final product are checked and the dimensions are compared. Another would be to check machine data. Here the data is checked for anomalies and thus errors are detected.
Often the processes of checking machine data take place automatically, this saves time and avoids errors that could occur through human maintenance.
